Ford F-150 Specs

The Ford F-150 towing capacity depends on the equipped powertrain. Each one is built to haul a heavy payload or trailer and get you safely across the toughest terrain. For instance, you can choose the dynamic 5.0L V8 with Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT). With 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, it can carry a best-in-class payload of up to 3,270 pounds.

If you’re going to be doing lots of towing, opt for the available 3.5L EcoBoost® engine. It can help you haul a trailer around your jobsite or bring a boat on your next vacation by using its 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque to get a best-in-class towing capacity of up to 13,200 pounds.

There are even alternative engines available, too, such as the 3.0L Power Stroke® V6 Turbo Diesel. This efficient engine can get up to an EPA-estimated 21 MPG city and 29 MPG highway. Plus, it still has the power to tow up to 11,500 pounds.

Truck Bed Features

Whether you choose the Regular Cab, SuperCab, or SuperCrew cab, the Ford F-150 sports a bed that’s made with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy. This durable bed can also stand up to dents and scrapes by adding an available Tough Bed® spray-in bedliner.

For securing your cargo, a series of BoxLink™ removable and lockable tie-down cleats are available. Opening the back is also convenient with a remote tailgate release. Loading ramps and an integrated tailgate step with lift assist make it easy to get cargo in and out too. You can even load or unload at night with an available LED box lighting system.

Comfortable Cabin

The Ford F-150 is available in three cab sizes. Each one offers cloth, vinyl, or leather seats. While their seating capacity and back seats vary, they all offer a comfortable drive with 40.8 inches of front headroom and 43.9 inches of front legroom.

The Regular Cab comes with one row of seats, while the SuperCab adds a second row. Its backseat features 40.3 inches of headroom and 33.5 inches of legroom. The most spacious cabin comes with the SuperCrew cab. It gives you easy access with a second set of full-sized doors. Inside, it offers 40.4 inches of rear headroom and 43.6 inches of legroom.

While all three cabs give you room to relax, you can add lots of amenities that’ll make your drive more comfortable. Power-adjustable front seats are available for both the driver and front passenger. To help you cool off, there’s Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control as well as ventilated front seats. There are even features that’ll give you better visibility on long drives, such as rain-sensing windshield wipers and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Ford SYNC® Infotainment System

At the front of your cabin, you’ll find a high-resolution display in the center of your dashboard. This is the home of the Ford SYNC® infotainment system. It keeps you connected and makes your drive more convenient with the following features:

Whether you’re off-roading, going to work, or taking your truck on vacation, you’ll be in for a safe and stable drive. The Ford F-150 offers a 4x4 drivetrain and a durable suspension. The F-150 Raptor even comes with the Terrain Management System™ that offers seven selectable driving modes. Every trim is prepared for towing and tough terrain, though, with Curve Control and Trailer Sway Control.

The Ford Personal Safety System™ comes standard and features six airbags. It includes a pair of front airbags, front-seat side airbags, and side-curtain airbags. This Safety Canopy® protects the whole interior by covering both rows of seats.

There are also driver-assistance features that can help prevent accidents. With available Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology, you’ll have more awareness during your drive. Some of the features it includes are:
