Service Advisor

Purpose:

The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts. Establishes "promised time".
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promise time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Test-drive the vehicle or refer to the test technician as necessary.
  • Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, using maintenance menus.
  • Maintains a dealership-prescribed standard for "hours per customer repair order written."
  • Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.


Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Two years of experience in a dealership position.
  • General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license

Purpose:

Performs all of the administrative functions of Quick Lane facility.  Operates facility in accordance with all company policies and requirements.  Supervises and monitors all work within Quick Lane facility.  Ensures that work is performed in a professional manner and that all work meets customer expectations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures high quality service is provided to every customer; maintains a clean, professional environment.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by managing Quick Lane operations so that work flows smoothly and continuously.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in daily activities.
  • Departs from traditional ways of doing things as appropriate to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitors the flow of work in the Quick Lane and intervenes as needed to ensure work is accomplished.
  • Works with Service Advisor to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manages performance of Quick Lane by establishing clearly stated goals and standards.
  • Builds a winning team by recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, motivating, and rewarding Quick Lane employees.
  • Directs and schedules the activities of all Quick Lane employees.
  • Monitors and evaluates employee performance within the Quick Lane regularly, providing feedback, disciplinary actions, training, and career guidance as necessary.
  • Ensures that Quick Lane employees are properly trained and up to date on all technical matters.
  • Monitors Quick Lane order trends (number of Quick Lane orders completed and dollar sales per Quick Lane order).
  • Ensures a positive working environment for employees.
  • Develops a team atmosphere both within the Quick Lane and across other departments.
  • Follows all dealership policies.
  • Establishes and maintains positive management/employee working relationship
  • Follows up with Quick Lane customers to ensure they are satisfied with service.
  • Promotes cooperation and teamwork among all service employees.
  • Resolves all employee concerns in a prompt and effective manner.
  • Maintains composure when facing unanticipated delays or when meeting tight deadlines.
  • Solicits, encourages, and implements innovative methods/ideas to improve service and performance.
  • Prioritizes work to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Handles customer complaints that require management's attention.

The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required.
  • Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
  • Document work performed.
  • Road-test vehicles when required.
  • Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
  • Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.


Qualifications: 

  • High CSI is a must.
  • ASI or manufacturing training.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Good Judgment.

The Quick Lane Technician is responsible for performing light vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Focuses on quick, high volume jobs (brakes, tires, filters batteries, etc.). S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.


Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Performs any and all repairs and service as indicated on Vehicle Inspection Report or Repair Estimate Order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
  • Ensures high quality service and repairs are provided to every customer.
  • Suggests products, services, equipment or practices to improve sales, safety, or customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required.
  • Notify service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.

Collision Repair Technician

Purpose: 
The Collision Repair Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.



Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Company's Vision in all interactions with customers, co-workers and venders.
  • Repair vehicles per estimate, according to dealership and manufacturer standards. 
  • Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepares vehicle for body repair work.
  • Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promise time.
  • Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.  Document any additional parts and labor required to perform a satisfactory repair.
  • Road-test vehicles when required.
  • Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Cooperates and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
  • Maintains and wears required safety and health personal equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials
  • Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc., and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.


Qualifications: 

  • High CSI is a must.
  • Two or more years related experience as a collision repair technician with heavy structural collision and frame experience.
  • ICAR or ASE certifications in auto body repair, painting and estimating, as plus.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged vehicles including bodywork and when to replace or repair parts.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions on repair/estimate orders.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Good Judgment.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
